Here are my current finalized drafts, that I have improved from the feedback that I have received. I have tried to keep a clear running theme throughout the front cover, contents page, article and billboard so that you can tell that they all belong to the same magazine. I have, also, tried to make the advert look different whilst not looking out of place within the magazine.

Advert Draft
Here is my current draft of my advert. I have added a floral image with a low opacity over my dominant image. This adds to the theme as it is an advert for a florist, however, the image is not overpowering and distracting to the audience that it will take away from the rest of the advert. This advert has a purple colour scheme so that it juxtaposes against the blue colour scheme of the rest of the magazine.

Article Draft
Here is my article page with the completed improvements from my feedback. I have made the main body of text a smaller font so that there is more to read on the page and I have added a box around the Something Blue logo so that it stands out more against the background of the page.
Front Cover Draft
In this lesson, I have been working on the improvements for my front cover. I have changed the barcode so that it is not blurry (however, I think I will remove the thick black line around it) and have changed some of the fonts for the sell lines (I am not sure about the colours, however, and may decide to change them).

Article Page Draft
In this lesson, I have changed the page number from 35 to 4 so that it fits within the criteria of the first four pages and I have made the drop cap in the into more noticeable by changing the font and making it slightly bigger. Also, I have enlarged my models in the image so that they stand out more and there is less blank space - I did this by using the lasso tool and the Content-Aware Scale found under Edit. Next time I will be adding more text to the article and beginning to work on my improvements for my Front Cover.

Contents Page Drafts
Here I have added more features to the list and added the corresponding page numbers. I have also added some information about the partner companies and have added a curved box around this so that it stands out against the white background. Finally, I have added the page number in the bottom left corner of the page. As well as this, I have added a satin background, however, I am not sure whether I like it. I, also, think I need to fill the blank space between the list of features and the web address.

Contents Page Draft
I have added two sub images to my contents page to try and make it better. These two sub images also relate to the list of features on the contents page. Also, I have made the page numbers and list of features smaller so that there is room for more, due to the fact that it looked to bare before. As well as this, I have added the logos of the partner companies that I have invented, however, they need repositioning as they are in an awkward place currently.

Advert Draft
Here is another draft of an advert for my magazine using an image that I already had. However, I decided to use an image of a bouquet from the internet so that the image was not too similar to the ones I have used for my front cover, contents and article. I think that this advert looks too similar to my billboard and so will have to change the image anyway. I added a slogan to the top of the page at the top.

Front Cover Draft
Here I have edited the front cover of my magazine again. I have changed the lighting of my image using the Lighting Effects tool found under Filter > Render. I used the natural lighting option and chose where to position the light from - in this case I chose the top left hand corner, in front of the model. As well as this, I added a sense flare to the top left hand corner to give the image a sunnier appearance. However, these lighting options made some highlights of the image appear too bright and so I tried to dull them slightly using the Highlights/Shadows tool, this was difficult without dulling the rest of the image. I, also, desaturated the image slightly so that it would not appear too bright. I then decided the see what the image would look like completely desaturated (the black and white front cover) - overall, I quite like the appearance of this but I am not sure whether I prefer it to the coloured version or not. Obviously, if I choose to keep my front cover in black and white I will have to change the color of some of the sell lines/subheads to make them more visible.

Invitation Image Edit
Here, I have edited another image of an invitation (again, from treeofhearts.co.uk). I have done the same process as the other images.

Invitation Image Edit
Here, I have edited another picture of an invitation from treeofhearts.co.uk. Once again, I have used the Perspective Warp tool to make the image seem head on rather than from an angle, this tool can be found in Image > Adjustments. I, also, brightened the image and try to remove as many shadows as possible. As well as this, I have edited the photo in WIX as well by making it brighter so that it will fit in with the theme of the website a bit more.

Website Draft
Invitation Image Edit
Here is the before and after of an image that I have edited so that it can appear on my website. The first image was too dark, not focused enough and not in the right perspective to be on my website as it did not look professional enough. First I had to change the perspective of the image so that it did not look like it was taken from a slight angle - to do this I used the Perspective Warp tool, which can be found under Image > Adjustments. I then had to brighten the image and remove as many shadows as possible and to do this I used the Shadows/Highlights tool, which can also be found under Image > Adjustments. Whilst this might make the image appear very pale in comparison to the original it matches the aesthetic of my website well and so would not look out of place. Finally, I had to sharpen the image as it was slightly blurred once it had been warped. To do this I used the Smart Sharpen tool which can be found under Filter > Sharpen. Overall, I am quite pleased with the final result, however I may have to change the image depending on whether my website changes or not.
Warping Perspective

Here I have been editing a picture of a wedding invitation from treeofhearts.co.uk. The original image was taken at a slight angle and so the perspective was not professional enough to appear in my magazine or my website. To change this I used the Perspective Warp tool in Photoshop. I created guide lines so that I knew where to align my invitation so that it would appear to be straight. I selected the points on the invitation that were not in perspective and then warped them to be in line with my guide lines. This allowed my image to look more professional than it previously did.

Advert Draft
Here is my first attempt at an advert in my magazine. However, this is not an original image and so I will have to try and replicate the image as best as possible. I decided to create an advert for one of the four companies that I made logos for so that it ties in with my website, I chose to use my floral boutique Fleur Norman for this advert. I tried to stick to my flat plan as best as possible but for this particular advert I feel it looked better to have the text on the opposite side to what I said on my flat plan as it worked better with the image this way. I used the font 'Caviar Dreams' from dafont.com for the essential information on my advert. I chose to include the web address, address and telephone number for my essential information. I am not entirely sure whether I like the composition of the essential information for this advert and this is something that I will reflect upon when I edit and improve my advert.

Article Draft
Here is my first completed draft of my article page. I am currently unsure whether I like the dominant image and the slight blue tint to the grayscale I have used, despite it fitting into the theme and matching the masthead of Something Blue. In the top left hand corner I have my masthead so that it is clear that this article belongs to the same magazine as the contents page and the front cover. In the bottom left corner of the page I have my page number and web address, however I think it my be slightly too big for the page. For the article title I have used the font 'Scriptina' from dafont.com as this is the same font I have used on my front cover for the main sell line so there is a clear theme running throughout the magazine. The rest of the text used in this page is either 'Adam' or 'Caviar Dreams', both from dafont.com, as again these are the two main fonts I have used in my front cover and contents page. I have given the intro a drop cap and have used the font 'Adam' so that there is a clear difference between the intro and the rest of the article. I am not entirely convinced on the spacing, sizing and composition of the contents of this page and this is something that I will reconsider in my next draft .

Article Draft
Here I have begun to create my first draft of my article. I have edited the image by changing the sky from white to blue to make it look more positive.

Billboard Draft
In this lesson, I have used the 'replace colour' tool to change the colour of the flowers from pink to blue in order for it to match the colour scheme of the magazine and the masthead 'Something Blue'. To do this I had to make the flowers a separate layer from the stems of the flowers otherwise the stems would have turned blue as well and ruined the effect - I did this by using the magic wand tool to select all the flowers. As well as this, I have added in the streamline of the magazine 'The North East No.1 Real Wedding Magazine'.

Billboard Draft
Here is the start of my second billboard draft. I have kept the image the same but I have managed to improve on how I made only the flowers in colour. As well as this, I made the logo white instead of black as I feel like it matches the tone better.

Photography Logo
Here is my photography logo. I used the font 'Caviar Dreams' for 'wedding photography' and the font 'October Moon' for 'Olivia Mulligan'.
