First Draft of Front Cover

Here is my first complete draft of my magazine front cover. I have used a variety of different fonts from dafont.com to add a some range to my sell lines. In my next draft I will have to consider changing the dominant image/background as it makes some of the sell lines harder to read. I have made the main sell line a teal/blue colour to keep in with the theme of the masthead 'Something Blue', as well as this I have used two different fonts in my main sell lines: Scriptina and Friandise. Scriptina is a calligraphy font whereas Friandise is a more traditional font - this adds a nice juxtaposition between the two, drawing the attention of the audience. I have used the font Adam for the sell lines and the sub heads on the right hand side of the page, this is because it is easy to read and does not distract from the dominant image or the main sell lines. For the main sub head, strapline, web address, price and date I have used the font Caviar Dreams as it is slightly different from Adam but is still quite simple and easy to read. The font of the masthead is Foglihten No07 as it stands out and fits the theme of a bridal magazine without being too fancy or calligraphic. The barcode in the bottom right hand side of the page is taken from a Belle Bridal magazine - I did this due to the fact that it is actually made for a magazine and therefore does not look out of place or inappropriate. Also, I lightened the color of the dress slightly so that it would look more white and therefore bridal, as opposed to pink.
